Facebook has become a great way to interact with people. I find that what my friends like to interact with most is content that comes with no strings attached. In order for me to give them plenty to choose from, I include a regular stream of musical updates from my Blip.fm account. Here’s how you can begin to utilize social music networks and connect them to your Facebook profile to begin to Get Musical as you Get Straight with Facebook.

Rather than talking you through the best way to connect blip.fm to your own Facebook account, I decided to let SassepUp from YouTube walk you through it with this video. When this video was made I realized that she did not connect it to Facebook but to Twitter. I have my Blip.fm account connected to Facebook, Twitter and Friend Feed. I think that for the purpose of this article you should be looking to connect your Facebook account to your new Blip.fm radio station.

The best way to get the most benefit out of both services is to entertain your Facebook account with good music. You will gain the benefit of a whole new network within the Blip.fm community as you share with Facebook. I recommend this tool as a great buffer in between the content you plan on producing for your personal profile or fan page.

In ending I want to stress that Blip.fm constitutes about 60% of the music I post to Facebook. The other 40% comes from YouTube and in the next Get Straight with Facebook article we will give you the knowledge to take advantage of YouTube AND facebook to advance your personal or business brand.

Follow me to my Facebook profile /fuzzywashere

Follow me to my Blip.fm Channel dawewriterj

Channel SassedUp on YouTube

Blip.fm Screencast

Francis Walsh is a life-long content creator. This article was created to help you get more out of the time you spend on social networks life Facebook. I feel like you will begin to become more independent, maybe even make some money online once you get your friends together and share what you like. This discussion is biased and comes filled with the opinions of the author

I am the creator of Powerfitz Publishing. My name is Francis Walsh. This post begins a discussion on branding yourself online. Subscribe to this blog to keep up with this author’s opinion right from the comfort of your own home. If I have a brand it is that I talk a lot; Over and Out.

Can content be a brand? Yes, even if it has something to say about a product.

I was first introduced to branding was when I was a kid; we all were. All I wanted then was a Slinky and some stairs. I had a Slinky but did not have the appropriate stairs from which to send my coiled friend down. I would open the door to the cellar and and begin the preparations for launch. Set Slinky squarely one the top step in a vertical position, pull up the top coil and push it toward the bottom of the stairs.

What happened next happened every time. Slinky would slink toward the next step but before it could reach it the other end would come off the top stair and rocket toward the front of the Slinky as it attempted to make a soft landing on the lower platform. The metal coil would collect itself and shudder as each coil smacked together. each time I would send Slinky down these stairs the stairs would win. The steel coil would roll through the naked steps and fall to the cement floor below or roll down forward on its side; either way it was going all the way down. When it hit the floor I heard the sound of one thousand tiny steel straps hitting the concrete; they would reverberate for a moment and then cease.

Even though I could not replicate the action with a Slinky for myself, the message reminded me that it was happening somewhere. The message was even more powerful than the product; it exceeded my expectations while the product under delivered. If there is something to take away from my experience with the Slinky message it would be that content branding can be more effective than the product at capturing the imagination of the consumer. Companies look for a message that marks a product so well that consumers interact with a brand on a whole new level. Be it through content or product, they know that the product will always be the same while the content that brands it can make it or break it.

It is possible to create a message about you that makes people want to connect with you. A message that creates opportunities for you to grow relationships that produce great value to you. This message becomes the marketing of you and in the end it becomes a brand that your friends can easily associate to you. When you create content about your brand there must remain some of you in it. The best message can be clearly defined. It’s value is embedded in the message, how it reads is reviewed for accuracy and style, and finally information is retained or lost.

After you create a message about your brand you are going to have to begin presenting the message in front of like minded individuals in a natural way. I highly recommend getting your friends to recommend your message to others. Word of mouth sharing of information is, and always will be, the most effective branding message you could be associated with. When consumers recommend to consumers the message sticks.

Look for more information on a Brand New You in September. From Message to Master, your way, your network, your business; A Brand New You.

The more you learn about Facebook the better. If you’re a mom or dad, son or daughter, grand parent or friend, you want Facebook to fit. If it fits it must be good. When it doesn’t fit right it can be said that other things are to blame. That is not the truth. Facebook can be fit to most any level of comfort, provided you set the comfort level correctly. Facebook fits with so many people you might want to be sure it fits you better than the next dummy.

Let’s Get Straight with Facebook

So! YOU got Facebook today… Not today, three months ago? No? TWO YEARS AGO? Maybe?

If you’re anything like me you want a little slice of the Facebook friendship pie. Facebook is good because it has what I think is the most important feature of any dream, POTENTIAL

Potential for good yes, but there is with Facebook as with all things, a potential for negative thing to happen as well. The kind of things I speak of are hurt feelings and misunderstandings. Broken marriages from broken hearts and lost siblings because one called the other one crazy one too many times on facebook. These are the troubles you can get from Facebook; these and more. If you want to be creative just for Facebook you want to be sure you are comfortable with the Facebook terms of Service pertaining to exclusive rights and Facebook and your content. I like facebook and I know that when the time comes to put the last chapter of my book down it will be on my own server. Over and Out.

You can avoid the hassle of social networking provided you have a plan and are willing to take action on your own behalf. The actions you take can be mild, they can be extreme. I am extremely open, I know a lot of friends who are extremely closed. That usually means I am a loud and obnoxious friend; I definitely dislik’ that.

I have a personal profile that has an internet address of http://www.facebook.com/fuzzywashere and another Facebook page that Facebook calls a FAN PAGE for a novel in the Flesh Farewell trilogy. The name of that novel is CARNE VALE and the Facebook address for that page is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Carne-Vale-Flesh-Farewell/170839683978?ref=ts. There is a difference and the easiest way to describe the difference is this:

Your personal profile can only accept five thousand friends (5000). You can only have 5000 friends (yes, I repeated it). A FAN PAGE on Facebook has no limit. If you are seriously considering using Facebook to advance a creative, learn and utilize a Facebook FAN PAGE for each endeavor. This practice is sound, but the emotion behind it is divided. I am on the fence about where to put the most effort first. I want a full personal profile for sure, but then what?

Before I move ahead with a FAN PAGE for the adventurous internet social networking partners, let me speak to the mothers and aunts of people like me. Aunti Adelaide never expected to be connected to someone with thousands of friends and fans on Facebook. She wanted to say hello but it appears like her nephew is posting all sorts of crazy stuff on her page. She doesn’t know what to do anymore and the boy must be crazy. Two seconds before she quits Facebook forever she reads this article and discovers that what Facebook does for you is more than you would do for yourself. There is something, actually a lot everyone should learn about Facebook before they get their feelings hurt, there minds scrambled, and cut everyone from the will. It’s Facebook and you should know what to expect.

Expect the unexpected for sure. That’s what is so fun about the internet. But I want you to know that much of your own security is reliant upon you creating the barriers you want for your Facebook profile. When you sign up for a profile, Facebook will automatically have a pre-determined security level set for each new account. You are not like everyone else so there is your first hurdle to cross if you want to be more or less secure when you are making friends on Facebook. The tools are there to make any profile like Fort Knox, but you must build the walls that you want, Facebook does not do it for you.

Facebook WILL post updates from all your friends on your home page.

The HOME PAGE is NOT the PROFILE. Many new users will confuse the two and think that all their friends (or a few friends) are posting on their profile. You need to know that your profile is your profile and people have to visit your profile to post anything on there. The Facebook HOME PAGE collects all the updates from each of your friends.

I have a lot of friends and I talk a lot.

That means I am on your HOME PAGE a lot. Especially if you only have so many friends. I have over 2000 friend’s updates going to my wall. I have so many that they move through and I miss a lot of my friends posts. If you have me as a friend and you have a few friends It will seem like I am always on your wall. Well, it’s probably true because I post a lot of things. remember, I talk a lot.

Grandma might not like me as a friend and that HAS to be ok.

Look for part 2 soon.

What used to be words is now called content. Content can be on demand or it can be inspired. It can be both. Writing for money online involves content that is on demand, requested and wanted right now. Filling a slot in the content machine. I would never call words a machine but I can definitely say that content is one burly macho machine. I’m a good operator, but to fix it I need the help of someone who knows content like the back of their hand. My content is pretty creative and it can get out of line if I let it.

I just read some crap about something and I know less about it than I did before I read it. At least then I had an opinion; then I knew what I was talking about.

That’s content, that’s content, that’s not what I would call something I enjoyed reading OR writing, but somebody did it; they should stop. Imagine writing content in a foreign language? Taught to you by egg carton professors who hold the only book in the class? I would go there to see it for myself but because I cannot I must use my words to see into the space. I’m not seeing it I am reading it.

Value comes from enjoyment. You’ll find that the more people enjoy something, like owning diamond or gold, the more expensive it is. Content fills a need to fill a place, that is all. The editor was lazy or there is no editor or there is no standard for content quality.

The more quality you get from a piece of content the more valuable it becomes. But then there are search engines and Adsense and the whole advertising megaworld that is Google and the private publisher. Any content can be made valuable to these search engines if the content writer knows about the relationship between what is inside the article and the most searched keyword phrases. Somewhere in here, inside this article there will be a secret to making more money online using a Google tool. You just read it.

People pay money to have visitors click on their advertisement links. When these travelers make a purchase, the publisher (you and me) can get paid because they went to that advertiser via a webpage you connected with your Adsense account with Google. That is all I am going to say about Adsense in this article becasue this article is about good and bad content.

Bad content is called content because it fills a space. Creative Content still holds true to a history of high-quality words being used to benefit the reader in some pleasurable way. Enjoyment is valueable and I am trying to distinguish one from the other. I want to do that becasue I write to be creative and I want that to be valuable too.

Francis Damian Walsh is the creator of Over and Out. He considers himself to be a highly intelligent individual with views on most everyday notions as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. He is the epitome of freelance. He is free.

Instantly confounded by life’s little mysteries, an author without turmoil has nothing to delve into at the crucial moments of conflict and resolve. Moving through life at the speed of light has given me so much to ponder as I force myself to slow down the reels of time. Here is my adventure in time and space. The goal of anything I do is to have you read it and associate it to you. You may be more me than me and I want to know you if you think so too.

Content content has purpose and a following. Content content is content being well received by friends; it has relevance in today’s technological frontier. What an author must do is create content. Not just content, but content that is real but aware that being relevant has everything to do with being content. Content making content.

Everyone has a story to tell, it’s the number one reason an idea to write it down is created; finishing is another story. Commonality in people is a reality that each has a story and if told in an appropriate manner and at an appropriate time it could be well received if only it were written well. Many authors have a unique ability to think of stories but when it comes time to write the words they begin talking in tongues, understanding little is the easiest part. The writer who can get past the best story ever told is able to dive into the words of his or her own mind. I tell you what I’ve been doing since then so you can see.

I thought about people today, you know, the ones I don’t get along with or don’t see things the same way as me. I wonder what words make them read on. I also wonder about how much internet is too much or is there ever enough? I connect this question with the reality of content and publishing private texts; the reader determines how much is too much and original content determines if you are actually creating or just promoting. Promoting high quality links is very rewarding. Friends look forward to your links, though they could be YOUR links if you would slow down enough to create more of your own content. Being content for an internet content developer is like lighting a match; it lasts as long as the flame.

So the idea of being content is something to strive for. The more you write the more viewers will look forward to what you write. Add more viewers and soon your work is not privately held but publicly shared. That would be the proper business model for any author, I’m not just another author; I am the creator of work privately for public publication. Content content comes from rebels against the machine. Learning to craft what you have to say is not hard if you trust in yourself. Learn from others but rely only on yourself, or at least more than you rely on others.

I'm looking up.
